The final version of common statement between EAP/EPA and ECPCP is online

The controversial long discussion about a common statement between major paediatric European societies has come to an end.  The joint statement from the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP) European Confederation of Primary Care Paediatricians (ECPCP) European Paediatric Association (EPA) is a a consensus on the improvement of community and primary care services for children, adolescents and their families in Europe. The authors are Simon Lenton, Björn Wettergren and Gottfried Huss. As agreed since 7th November  2016 the final version is online. ECPCP fully endorses the following latest declaration of ISSOP (International Society for Social Pediatrics and Child Health) on the rights, health and well-being of children and youth on the move, signed in Budapest in October 2017.

We began discussing the feasibility of global standards for training and assessment. If this were possible, through collaboration with the global pediatric community, the outcome could be a dramatic improvement in the quality of care we provide to the world's children.
